Why study Child Care?
The course provides the underpinning knowledge of childcare theory and practical competence in a range of childcare settings working with 0 – 8 year olds.
Ideally you should gain 2 GCSE’s, grades A* - C. However, each candidate will be considered individually since responsible and caring attitudes are the greatest prerequesite for success in this course.
What is the content of the course?
Students will participate in a range of childcare work experience placements throughout the course. The qualification will allow students to go into employment in a nursery, playgroup or as a nanny.
The course will be delivered through the medium of Welsh at Barry College in 8 hours per week
